New Year Book Giveaway!

Happy New Year, everyone! In honor of the start of 2014, I'm going to do a book giveaway! I'm excited, so you should get excited too. So what's the dealio with the giveaway? Well, that's simple. Basically, I'm going to pick one winner who will receive the book of their choosing from the Book Depository (as long as it's available, and let's be reasonable people- I'm not buying you a $50 book...). Please make sure you're comfortable giving me your information if you win.

The Giveaway is going to last until January 15th (that's two weeks from yesterday), and I'll announce the winner in the next blog post after that.

Next week, I'll be reviewing Eleanor & Park, by Rainbow Rowell (synopsis from Good Reads).
Set over the course of one school year in 1986, ELEANOR AND PARK is the story of two star-crossed misfits – smart enough to know that first love almost never lasts, but brave and desperate enough to try. When Eleanor meets Park, you’ll remember your own first love – and just how hard it pulled you under.

May the odds be ever in your favor!

-Annie

  2. I've heard so much about Eleanor & Park, but I'm not a big contemporary fan so I'm not sure if it's for me... I think Fangirl by the same author appeals to me more. Anyway, I'll look out for your review, as I'm still making my mind up! =)

You should read and review Throne of Glass in 2014! =D Amazing book, wonderfully crafted fantasy.

    1. I read Fangirl and love it, but I was still a bit hesitant to read Eleanor & Park. Like you, I don't read a lot of contemporary but I was pleasantly surprised!

I've heard great things about Throne of Glass and it's been on my list forever! I'm definitely hoping to read it soon! :)

  5. I would love to see you review The Art of Wishing by Lindsay Ribar! That was one of my absolute favorite books I read in 2013 -- it's a duology, and the second book is coming out on July 31, 2014.

I've heard a lot about Rainbow Rowell lately, and I'm totally itching to get my hands on "Fangirl." Guess I need to snatch up "Eleanor & Park" too!

    1. I just looked up The Art of Wishing and wow, that looks really wonderful! And it sounds different from other stuff that I read, so I'll definitely be checking it out!

I also think that Rainbow Rowell can do no wrong at this point. I totally suggest either Fangirl or Eleanor & Park, they're great reads! :)

  6. Hi! I've never heard of that book but I'll read your review and possibly check it out soon.

I read "The World of the End" by Ofir Touche Gafla recently and I was pleasantly surprised. I loved the story despite some of its flaws. If anything, I would like to see you review it. :)

  8. Well, not sure what titles you've reviewed so far, but if you haven't read the Percy Jackson series before, I'd definitely recommend it! And as people above have said, Throne of Glass and Daughter of Smoke and Bone are pretty good too. Oh, also Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi :)
